Seminar contents
In this seminar, students conceive and discuss current topics in management in health facilities in small groups and answer specific questions to these challenges. The students will present their solutions in a plenum and will discuss these critically with other students.
The seminar will be offered in the summer semester 2022 and will take place in four block events:
Day 1, 06.05.2022: The students will learn the importance of the necessity of reaching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in management in healthcare for an aging society in a playful way.
Day 2, 17.06.2022: The students will expand their knowledge and their professional approach through the acquirement of gerontological basics for a specific topic in the area of sustainability in healthcare. Additionally they will attempt the transfer of their own expertise of management towards a non-specialist group of people (presumably students of the master program gerontology of the FAU). They understand, that logistical questions regarding health always have to be solved holistically and interdisciplinarily.
Day 3, 04.06.2022: The students generate solution approaches in tandems for identified challenges in the care for elderly people via the transmission of their management abilities in the setting of precautions, establish these in a discussion and take feedback in a constructive manner.
Day 4, 08.07.2022: The tandems will integrate the feedback of other participants in their revised solution and present it. Additionally they will show, how the acquired solution approach could be implemented conceptually.
A presentation (ca. 45 Min.) and a seminar paper (ca. 25 pages) will be demanded as a test performance.
